If you just want a beautiful big screen 3D-capable HDTV and don't care about being able to mount it on the wall, consider Mitsubishi's very best 75.iNCH LaserVue model or one of their more affordable 73.iNCH DLP rear projection televisions.

If you've got a room that you want to transform into a dedicated home theater, you will want to also at least consider a 78.iNCH, 77.iNCH, or 74.iNCH diagonal 16:9 aspect ratio projection screen and 1080p 3D projector.

To set up a cheaper 720p 3D experience, you could start with a 76.iNCH diagonal Draper 16:10 aspect ratio front projection screen and pair it with a 1280 x 800 WXGA 720p 3D DLP projector.
